About the role

On a daily bases, you will receipt inbound and outbound goods, order and maintain stock levels, lead a small team or staff and delegate duties, liaise with administration and managers relating to the stock price, conduct stock takes and generally be hands-on in the store. The company is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team based in their Western Suburb depot.

The role of the warehouse manager is to be accountable for the effective management and organisation all facets of the warehouse operation ensuring safe handling and transportation of customers’ product to determined delivery points on the agreed time frames while adhering to all company and generally accepted policies relating to safety.

The Role

Duties

• Ensure warehouse dispatch orders are received in a timely manner.
• Allocate labour to match the warehouse dispatch tasks.
• Manage warehouse labour to service the span of hours
• Liaise with operations and customers to ensure incoming vehicles are time slotted
• Collate warehouse activity for charging purposes
• Check picked warehouse orders for accuracy and ensure all required evidence of accuracy is maintained to the level of customer expectations
• Liaise with customers on any problems, offering solutions to service the client.
• Assist with growing the warehouse business by canvassing existing and new clients.
• Provide warehouse KPI’s as requested, including accurate analysis of performance.
• Ensure warehouse housekeeping is at “Food Grade Quality: at all times.
• Participate in regular meetings and offer suggestions for improvement to work processes.
• Ensure a workplace of safe handling is maintained.
• Compliance with the relevant company OH & S requirements & relevant legislation.
• Provide warehouse reports to management in a timely manner.

Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in a similar role (minimum 2 years)
• Must have experience in leading a stocktake with no mistakes.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong Experience in warehousing operations.
• Ability to work autonomously is a must.

• Customer Service – Build and main successful relationships with all current and new clients/suppliers

• Excellent attention to detail to identify non-conformance issues
• Leadership skills to coordinate and facilitate the day-to-day operational excellence and direct team effectively
• Certificate III in Warehousing or Logistics or similar
• Great customer services skills
• Computer competent on Microsoft office and some other ERP related to inventory/warehousing
• Forklift Ticket – non-negotiable
